On July 12, 2016, children joined world leaders and the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon to launch the Global Partnership to End Violence Against Children and Fund to make ending violence a public priority and a collective responsibility. The new cross-sector partnership, and its package of proven solutions known as INSPIRE, will provide support to those working to prevent and respond to violence against children and make societies safe for children. The launch of the Global Partnership coincided with the High Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development – the UN central platform for the follow-up and review of the SDGs. Ensuring no one is left behind in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the Global Partnership to End Violence Against Children places children at the centre of the Global Goals. The Global Partnership’s new video, featuring UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador Liam Neeson and global world leaders calls upon all governments to #ENDViolence against children.
